Result of the team competition
An exciting competition has come to an end with two gold medals for the home teams. After the german teams had only a close lead after the forst competition days, especially the men's team started the second day with a very strong round on concrete and won the title with a superior margin of 23 strokes. Switzerland got the well-deserved silver medal. In the 3rd place the Czech Republic could ensure the bronce medal in a last minute finish against Sweden.
In the women's team competition the title defense of the german team got clearer during the final round, where the german ladies could increase their leading margin. Behind Germany, the Austrian ladies won silver with a strong performance in front of Swede, who has the lucky ending against Italy with a margin of only one stroke.
